Dean is currently coaching with another club and will not be joining us until the end of the season, once his obligations to his previous club are fulfilled

Deans playing career included representing Eastern Counties and London Division and he also played for Barking and captained the side for 9 years before hanging up his boots and transferring to coaching
Dean has enjoyed incredible success with the clubs he has been associated with in a Head Coach capacity and has secured promotion at every level he has coached at including Barking RFC, Rochford, and East London

Dean is employed by the RFU as a community rugby coach where he is responsible for delivering Coaching, leadership skills and sustainable teacher and coach education

Dean commented upon his appointment
“ I am really excited to be joining this re-emerging club as I have always wanted one of their famous stripy blazer, only joking” then went onto say
“The Plans that are in place for rugby, are the most ambitious in the Eastern Counties. The new facilities which are well underway, will offer the best environment for the playing of rugby in the area and my role is to ensure the quality of rugby and the support that players receive are second to none, and match the facilities”

Owen Coyne Head of Playing for Upper Clapton stated
“We need the best quality of rugby to match the best facilities, in Dean Cutting we have the best man and Head Coach to do this, the facilities we are building are superb, but first and foremost we are here to be playing the highest level of rugby possible throughout our club

Upper Clapton RFC are based between Harlow and Epping and run 3 adult sides together with 10 Mini & Youth sides ranging from under 7,s to under 18,s
